Russian millionaire Vladislav Klyushin, head of information technology company M-13 based in Moscow, was convicted of cybercrime by a Boston jury on Tuesday, including wire and securities fraud.
Klyushin was found guilty of participating in a $90 million insider trading scheme where he used confidential information stolen from United States computer networks, including earnings reports of tech companies such as Microsoft Corporation.
The millionaire, who allegedly has close ties to Kremlin, was arrested in Switzerland in March 2021 and extradited to the US in December of the same year.
